We believe African biotech entrepreneurs have the talent, drive, and creativity to build globally relevant companies. Yet in South Africa, despite strong scientific innovation, the lack of funding, infrastructure, and coordinated support has made it difficult to move from research to startup success.
Biotech is complex and capital intensive, requiring more than just funding. We need a connected, supportive ecosystem. This is especially true in South Africa, where early stage bioentrepreneurs face steep barriers to entry. We address this by providing shared, fully equipped lab and office space that lowers the upfront cost of launching a biotech venture.

The OneBio Innovation Centre is a non-profit (PBO) created to help unlock the potential of the South African bioeconomy. We exist to bridge the gap between groundbreaking research and commercially viable biotech ventures.
